Meet The Owners

Rainbow Lookout is a custom built home for Michael and Joey Kraft.  We built our home in the Great Smoky's five years ago.  We reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Michael is a distributor for a snack company, and I'm in banking.  We sneak away to our hideaway as often as we can.

We have vacationed in the Great Smokey Mountains for over twenty five years.  We hiked numerous trails, and explored many of the hidden Water Falls.  Our favorite is Rainbow Falls.

In August of 1986, we eloped, and hiked to Rainbow Falls to be married.  We started our journey with the City Commissioner of Gatlinburg, a backpack filled with Champagne, and hoping there would be someone at the Falls to witness our Marriage.  There was a family from Louisiana playing under the water falls when we arrived.  We asked them if they would witness our marriage, and they were delighted.  They told us our Wedding was the highlight of their vacation.  This is how our cabin became Rainbow Lookout.

If you get a chance to hike to Rainbow Falls, it's only 2.7 miles.  We hope you enjoy our private, and peaceful home as much as we do.
